FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

RESERVATIONS

Rescheduling/Cancelling

We kindly ask that reservations are cancelled with as much notice as possible. Failure to provide at least 24 hour notice will result in a No-Show fee of 50% of the service(s) booked.  If there are multiple instances of no-shows, a request of full prepayment will be required to book a reservation. 

Late Policy

We kindly ask that you notify us ASAP if you know you will be late.  We will do everything we can to accommodate in the time available.  However, because we do our best to be on time for all guests, you may be asked to reschedule if you are more than 10 minutes late.

Do you require credit cards or deposits for booking?

To secure your booking, we ask that a credit card be put on file. There will be no charge until your appointment time.  Please see our cancellation policy for details about cancellation fees.  (If you prefer to not share your credit card info, you are welcome to pre-pay for your service prior to booking)

Are you open on Saturdays

We are open on select Saturdays, typically once a month 8:00-4:00.

Can I bring my children to my appointment?

We welcome well-behaved children in our salon and understand that it is not always possible to come alone.  Because we use chemicals and hot tools that could pose danger, we just ask that parents keep a watchful eye as well as make sure the children are not inhibiting the relaxing experience of the other guests.

How far in advance should I book my reservation?

To ensure the date and time you need, we recommend booking your next reservation before you leave the salon. 

Are you open on holidays?

SERVICES

Do you guarantee services?

We always guarantee our work!  If for any reason you are not satisfied with your experience, your stylist will work with you to get you back in at his/her earliest availability to achieve the results originally agreed upon at no charge.  We kindly ask that you notify us of this need within 48 hours of your service.

Do you offer refunds for services?

We will always do our best to make your experience incredible...including a redo if necessary.  However, because of the time and product needed to perform our services, we do not offer refunds for services.  

Should I shampoo my hair before a color service?

It isn't always necessary to have freshly shampooed hair before a color service, however, excessive products buildup and greasy hair can inhibit the performance of the hair coloring process, so when in doubt, please come with clean hair to have the best experience.

Should I shampoo my hair before a long hair design/updo service?

Because shampooing is not part of the Long Hair Design service, it is highly recommended that you arrive with freshly shampooed hair with little to no product in it.  This will allow your stylist to build the proper texture needed to deliver the results desired.

Does Rain offer Hair Extensions?

YES! If you are interested in getting hair extensions, or just curious to see if they are right for you, schedule a complimentary consultation with our Extension Specialist.  This will give your stylist the opportunity to go over any questions or concerns and determine what will work best for you.  Because hair extensions are a completely customized service to fit your unique needs, quotes must be done in person.

What if I want to donate my hair?

WE LOVE TO DONATE HAIR!  If you would like to donate at the time of your haircut, please make sure you have at least 10" length ponytail to cut off.  We will gladly properly prep and mail the hair to Locks of Love where it will be transformed into a wig and bring much joy to another human.

Where are you located?

Downtown Monroe, La - 407 DeSiard Street - right next to Standard Coffee (the BEST coffee shop and lunch spot in town!)

How do I get around the train that just stopped on the tracks?

If you see a train once turning onto 4th street, take a left to cross over to 5th and continue to the overpass.  At the bottom of the overpass, take a right by the police station to be led back downtown.


GIFT CARDS

Gift Certificate Policy

We kindly ask that gift certificates are redeemed within one year of issue date.  Gift certificates MUST be presented at time of service.  Gratuities cannot be purchased or redeemed with gift certificates.  If certificate is lost, stolen or destroyed, a replacement cannot be provided.  If a reservation is no-showed the full amount of the scheduled service will be forfeited from your gift certificate.

Gift Certificate Expiration

Per La law, gift certificates are considered abandoned 3 years after Dec. 31st of the year purchased and will not be honored past that date.  (La revised law RS:9:154 Presumptions of Abandonment Gift Certificates - Section A/Item 6)

Promotional Gift Certificate Policy

Promotional Gift Certificates follow our Gift Certificate Policy.  However, because they are part of a specialized promotion/discount, they will expire 6 months from the issue date stated (no exceptions).  Per La law, promotional gift certificates are not subject to extended expiration dates.  Gift certificates MUST be presented at time of service. Certificates can't be replaced.  If a reservation is no-showed the full amount of the scheduled service will be forfeited from your gift certificate.


GENERAL INFORMATION

Sanitation & Disinfection

Rain is well-stocked with disinfectants, sanitizers and cleaning supplies.  We follow a rigorous cleaning schedule to ensure all surfaces and touch points are disinfected on a regular basis.  We have also installed several Reme Halo Air Disinfecting systems to provide the ultimate clean air environment while inside Rain.


THE RAIN TEAM

What are the differences in levels of Rain stylists?

Our team works on a Level System, which is measured by experience & education.  Each stylist's prices vary accordingly.

Which stylist should I see?

Upon hiring, all team members participate in our training program are well qualified once becoming stylists.  We recommend speaking to our reservation team who can match you with a stylist that will suit your needs depending on your hair and budget.  Feel free to book a complimentary consultation with any stylist for any service as well.
